Andrei Runcanu is a photographer and visual artist based in Bucharest, working across portraiture, fashion and the performing arts. His practice combines personal artistic projects with collaborations in the cultural and creative industries. His photographs have been presented in exhibitions and featured in local and international publications.

With a background in acting and a PhD in Theatre Studies focused on the actor’s face, he brings a particular sensitivity to expression, identity and human presence. His close connection to theatre and dance continues to shape his work, particularly his portraits of actors and performers.

He is also the founder and editor-in-chief of STORY OF MAGAZINE, an independent publication dedicated to photography, literature and fashion.
